EpicCare Link
EpicCare Link provides easy access to the health system’s Epic electronic medical record system.
EpicCare Link provides registered users with secure view-only access to select patient information such as hospitalization records, allergies, medical history, medications, progress notes, discharge summaries, operative notes, lab results and more.

How to enroll
Any physician or provider who refers a patient to Children’s Mercy can use EpicCare Link. Physicians’ support staff can also gain access to EpicCare Link.
Follow the steps below to enroll in EpicCare Link.
- Apply using our New Account Request web portal.
- Complete the new site information and submit.
- Choose 1 site administrator for your EpicCare Link access.
- Site administrators will have additional security and responsibility within EpicCare Link. We recommend adding an additional site administrator after initial enrollment. After you create your site, you can request access for additional users.
- When requested verify your email – your request can’t be complete until this is done. The email will come from no-reply-ECL@cmh.edu.
- After submitting your request, our team will review to ensure your site meets the requirements for access. If approved, we will follow up with guidance on next steps. Please allow 3 business days to fulfill your request.
Please note: Site Administrators can add other users, but the users will not have access until March 1 when we go live. Site Administrators will also not be able to search for patients or access any patient information until March 1.

Technology requirements
EpicCare Link works with the following internet browsers:
- Apple Safari 17+
- Google Chrome 118+
- Microsoft Edge 118+
- Mozilla Firefox 115+
- iOS 9+
- Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat Reader
For tablets, you must use Apple Safari or Android Chrome browsers.
Additional requirements:
- Please be sure to enable the latest version of Java to display graphs and scanned images.
- EpicCare Link requires a minimum screen resolution of 1024x768 pixels.
- A high-speed internet connection ensures optimum performance.
- EpicCare Link now supports the Linux operating system, as long as users are utilizing Google Chrome version 106 or later.
