At Children's Mercy Blue Valley, families have access to two convenient care options in southern Johnson County:
- Urgent care: Open 7 days a week for illnesses and injuries that need prompt attention.
- Sports Medicine Center: Expert care for student-athletes recovering from sports-related injuries. Our care team works with young athletes in a 3,500-square-foot gym designed for sport-specific physical therapy and rehabilitation.

Hours: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day
Children’s Mercy Urgent Care offers three convenient locations, each staffed seven days a week by pediatric experts who are specially trained to treat non-life-threatening illnesses in children and teens. Patients can walk-in and check-in at the kiosk in the lobby, or for less time in the waiting room, we offer online check-in using Save My Spot.
Here’s how to check in online:
- Choose the location closest to you.
- Select a time that works best.
- Complete a short form, and save your spot.
- We can even send text message reminders as your scheduled appointment draws near.
Urgent Care or Emergency Room?
When your child is sick or hurt, it can be hard to decide where to take them. View a chart that shows if you should think about the Emergency Room or Urgent Care.
Children with serious or life-threatening injuries or illnesses should be taken directly to the emergency room, or call 911.

Children's Mercy Blue Valley offers bone and joint imaging services. X-ray services are available during business hours, with an order from a provider. Not available to urgent care patients.
