Pre-term NICU infants: A study of the inhaled drug ciclesonide (i.e.,Alvesco) in babies at risk of BPD
This study is for: -Babies day of life 8-35 -Born between 23-25 weeks on invasive mechanical ventilation -Currently in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) This study is being done to test if ciclesonide will be useful to prevent BPD (a chronic lung disease) in premature infants without the major side-effects of other steroids. We want to better understand how inhaled ciclesonide is tolerated in premature infants. Eligible participants who meet inclusion/exclusion screening criteria could be approached by a study team member.
