Welcome to the Children’s Mercy Hospitals and Clinics (CMHC). Children’s Mercy Hospital has 19 subspecialty training programs and core residency programs in Pediatrics and Med/Peds.
CMHC is a regional, 316 bed tertiary referral center and Level I Pediatric Trauma Center serving the Heart of America. We are the only free-standing children’s hospital between St Louis to the east, Denver to the west, Omaha to the north and Little Rock to the south. CMHC is consistently recognized as one of the top children’s hospitals in the United States. Our hospital has the generous support of an extraordinary community. CMHC educational programs have excellent opportunities for internal grant support. Our new Pediatric Research Center is dedicated to the power of discovery. It provides the most technologically advanced facilities for research in genetics, diabetes, allergy/immunology, newborn lung disease, kidney disease and more. We are one of the premier Pharmacology Research Centers in the country performing pioneering research in pharmacogenomics and pharmacokinetics. Over the past 10 years CMHC researchers have continued to move up in the rankings of children’s hospitals receiving NIH funding.
